Classic Recipe

• Hook Standard wet fly, 10-14
• Thread Yellow 8/0

Materials

• Tail Golden pheasant crest (upswept)
• Body Pearl tinsel or Mylar (smooth)
• Rib Fine gold wire (spiral)
• Body hackle Ginger hen (palmered sparse)
• Throat Blue jay or dyed guinea (sparse)
• Wing Hen pheasant center tail (tent)

How to tie it

1. Mount hook, tie in golden pheasant tail
2. Tie in wire and tinsel
3. Wrap tinsel body, rib with wire
4. Palmer ginger hackle sparse
5. Add throat hackle
6. Tie in wing, whip finish
