Materials

  • Tail Cahill Champagne Dun
  • Body PMD Super Fine Dubbing
  • Wing PMD or Western Caddis Grey EP Trigger Point Fibers
  • Hackle Cahill Champagne Dun
  • Thorax PMD Super Fine Dubbing

How to tie it

  1. Lay a thread base to the bend.
  2. Build a slim tapered pale yellow-olive extended body over a needle or thin foam so it reaches one shank length past the bend, splitting two or three microfibbet tails at the tip.
  3. Bind the body at the bend and advance to the 65% mark.
  4. Stand a white post with criss-cross turns and a front thread dam.
  5. Dub a slim PMD-colored thorax fore and aft of the post; keep it sparse.
  6. Tie in the hackle at the post, take 4-5 turns down the post, and secure.
  7. Sweep the fibers up, whip finish at the eye, and cement the post base.
