Craft fur or calf tail White calf body hair (small sparse clump)
How to tie it
Start the thread behind the eye and lay a thread base back to the 75% mark.
Bind small silver bead-chain eyes on top of the shank about one eye-length back from the hook eye, locking them with tight figure-8 wraps so they can't spin.
Tie in the pearl tinsel and the silver wire at the bend, then wrap thread forward to just behind the eyes.
Wrap the tinsel forward in touching turns to behind the eyes, then counter-wrap the wire over it in 4-5 open turns for durability; tie both off.
Invert the hook so the point rides up. Tie a sparse white craft-fur wing in front of the eyes, tips reaching the hook point, so it sweeps back over the body and masks the point.
Build a small thread head, whip finish, and add a drop of cement.
