  • Hook Short-shank egg / scud hook, 14-18
  • Thread Matching egg color 8/0

Materials

  • Otter's Soft Milking Egg material (small) Egg color of choice (1 small plug)

How to tie it

  1. Lay a short thread base over the center of the egg hook and return the thread to the middle.
  2. Cut a small plug of the soft egg material and tie it in at midshank with two or three tight wraps.
  3. Gather and fold the material around the shank so it balls up evenly on all sides into a compact round egg.
  4. Cinch it down with tight wraps under the egg, keeping it small and tight.
  5. Whip finish beneath the egg and trim any stray material into a clean round bead.
