Reference Recipe

  • Hook Barbless jig hook, 14-16
  • Thread Peach or tan 12/0 or 18-denier

Materials

  • Slotted tungsten bead Gold or fluorescent orange slotted tungsten bead (1, sized to hook)
  • Eggstacy / egg chenille Peach (1 short length)

How to tie it

  1. Drop the slotted tungsten bead onto the jig hook and seat it at the eye.
  2. Start the thread behind the bead and lay a short, tight base at the 60-70% mark.
  3. Tie in the tip of the peach Eggstacy just behind the bead.
  4. Make 2-4 touching wraps packed tight behind the bead to form a dense ball; tie off and trim.
  5. Whip finish under the egg and pick the yarn out so it puffs into a round egg that folds forward and buries the bead.
