Tyer Recipe

  • Hook wet/streamer, 4-10
  • Thread olive 6/0

Materials

  • deer hair tail Natural deer hair (small bunch)
  • burlap/jute fibers dubbed Olive ice dub (body length)
  • soft hackle collar Grizzly or brown hackle (1 feather)

How to tie it

  1. Tie in a short sparse deer hair tail at the bend.
  2. Spin frayed olive burlap fibers into a rope and wrap a shaggy tapered body forward.
  3. Tie in a soft hackle and take two turns as a swept collar.
  4. Build a head and whip finish.
