How to tie it
Slide a 7/64" fluorescent orange tungsten bead onto a #14 jig hook and mount it in the vise, then start the thread behind the bead and run it back to the bend.
Tie the small copper wire in along the underside of the shank, keeping the wire underneath and the tail on top means it will not interfere when you start wrapping.
Pinch off a section of olive marabou blood quill and tie it in as a long tail (no flash. The bare marabou gives more movement), making sure the butt end is bound down properly.
Wrap the remaining marabou forward as the body, up to just behind the bead, and tie it off.
Rib the body forward with evenly spaced turns of the copper wire. It comes cleanly off the underside without catching the tail, and tie the wire off behind the bead.
Level the hook in the vise, then tie in a short piece of peacock herl and take two or three turns as a collar right behind the bead as an accent. Clip the excess.
