How to tie it
Slide a black slotted tungsten bead onto the jig hook, slot to the rear, and seat it against the eye.
Start black thread behind the bead and lay a thin base down to the barb.
Tie in a sparse bunch of coq de leon fibers as a tail one shank length long, then trim the butts.
Catch in the opal oil-slick tinsel at the tail tie-in point.
Wind the thread forward to just behind the bead, then wrap the tinsel forward in touching turns, building a slim cigar taper; tie off behind the bead and snip.
Optionally mark a small black dot on top of the thorax with a marker for a wingcase impression.
Whip finish, then coat the entire body from tail to bead with a thin layer of UV resin and cure; the hard resin shell is what makes it a perdigon, sinking fast and shedding water.
