- Hook Curved caddis/scud hook (e.g. Daiichi 1120 / Dairiki 135), 14-18

Materials
- Gold bead Gold bead (1 (matched to hook))
- Pheasant tail fibers Natural pheasant tail fibers (abdomen)
- Fine wire Copper wire (rib)
- Zelon / Antron White poly yarn (wing / gill flash)
- Peacock herl Natural peacock herl (thorax)
How to tie it
- Slide a gold bead to the eye, start black thread, and tie in fine copper wire at the bend.
- Tie in a few pheasant tail fibers by the tips and wrap them forward as a slim abdomen to the 70% mark.
- Counter-rib with 4-5 open turns of copper wire and tie off.
- Tie in a short tuft of white Zelon over the top just behind the bead as a wing/gill flash, trimmed to about a third of the shank.
- Tie in one or two peacock herls and wrap a small thorax between the Zelon and the bead.
- Whip finish behind the bead and cement.
