Slotted tungsten nugget bead Gold bead (1 (tied back from eye))
Marabou White marabou (tail and short wing)
Fritz / chenille Fluorescent chartreuse fritz chenille (body)
How to tie it
Slide a gold tungsten bead onto the shank but DON'T seat it at the eye. The Nomad's signature is the bead riding about a third back so the fly sinks level, not nose-down.
Start thread, wrap to the bend, and tie in a slim white marabou tail one shank length long.
Tie in fluorescent chartreuse Fritz at the bend and wrap the body forward in touching turns up to the bead.
Half-hitch behind the bead to trap it, cross the thread in front, and tie in a short white marabou wing over the back reaching to mid-body.
Build a small front body from the bead to the eye, whip finish, and cement.
