Duck quill slips Dun duck quill slips (2 matched (wings))
How to tie it
Lay a thread base to the bend.
Tie in a split tail: divide the fibers into two bunches one shank long, splayed into a wide V. Tails and body are the only flotation, so splay them well.
Dub a slim, tapered body forward to the 70% mark.
Cut two matched duck-quill slips and tie them low along each side (sidewinder style) at 70%, curving apart and standing about one shank tall.
Figure-8 dubbing around the wing bases to lock and separate them.
