- Hook jig hook (e.g. TMC 708), #6-12
- Thread black 6/0 (140 denier)
Materials
- Slotted tungsten bead Purple bead (1 (3-5.5mm to conditions))
- Marabou Blue/purple/gray blend (tail)
- Flashabou Blue flashabou (few strands)
- Sili legs Barred rubber legs (2 sets)
- Ice dub / dubbing To match dubbing (body + collar)
How to tie it
- Slide the purple slotted tungsten bead to the eye of the jig hook and start the thread.
- Tie in a marabou tail (a blend of blue, purple, and gray) at the bend, about one shank long.
- Add a few strands of blue Flashabou over the tail.
- Tie in fine sili legs to splay along the sides.
- Dub a fat, buggy body forward to just behind the bead.
- Add a collar of contrasting dubbing (or a second set of sili legs) behind the bead.
- Whip finish behind the bead and cement.
