Tie in bead-chain eyes with figure-eight wraps on top of the shank, one eye-length behind the hook eye. Bob Nauheim clipped these from a sink-tip line originally; they make the fly ride hook-up so it can be crawled across the bottom.
Run the thread to the bend and tie in a length of clear mono and the silver tinsel.
Wrap the tinsel forward in smooth touching turns to the eyes and tie off.
Spiral the clear mono forward over the tinsel in touching turns and tie off in front of the eyes. The mono shell gives the glassy translucence of a shrimp and armors the tinsel.
Invert-tie a sparse white calf tail wing in front of the eyes so it flows back over the hook point, just past the bend.
