Set a scud hook in the vise and start the 12/0 Copper Nano Silk.
Tie in a strip of Anti-Static Bag around the corner at the rear of the hook.
Build the whole body from the thread itself - flat nano silk lays very thin - wrapping a slim taper forward. It takes time on the small sizes; on a large hook the body comes up quickly.
Put a coat of Solarez underneath, over the thread body, and cure it. This under-coat is what the rib will stand up on.
Wrap the Anti-Static Bag forward flat over the cured body, pulling on it slightly on each turn so it beds down and cannot move, then tie it off. The rib now lays over the top of the body raised, rather than sinking into it.
Give the ribbed body another thin coat of Solarez and cure it for durability.
Tie in a short tuft of White Antron at the front for the gills.
Tie in Peacock Herl by the butt, wrap a short thorax behind the eye, tie off and finish.
