Start the fine mono thread on the Tiemco 200R and wrap back to about the two-thirds point of the shank, trimming the excess.
Clip a hunk of White Antron and bind it there with three or four tight turns, most of it hanging off the back but a generous amount left forward as well - the front portion becomes the legs.
Tie in about a shank length of Natural Mallard Flank on top for the antennae and mouth parts, taking the thread a couple of turns down the bend, then trim the butts.
Trim only the rear Antron to about half a shank length for the tail, leaving the mallard flank at full length.
Bring the thread forward a couple of turns to where it just touches the hook point and tie in a pair of burned Mono Eyes across the middle, taking a turn in front of them to lock them.
Force the forward Antron straight down and take a couple of wraps back up onto it so it holds in the downward position as the legs, then whip finish with just a couple of turns - the resin does most of the holding.
Trim the thread, pull the leg Antron straight down and cut it just a little longer than the hook point, then colour the tips of the mono eyes black with a Sharpie.
Add Loon Thick UV Fly Finish or epoxy along the top, from the tail right over the eyes to the hook eye, then cure with the light. Going over the ends of the eyes locks in the marker and gives the head a wider profile.
