Mount the rear Ahrex TP hook, start 100D thread and tie in a fastach connector; lay a thread base along the shank.
Just ahead of the fastach, spin a bundle of light-pink bucktail around the shank, then add a bundle of mixed flash (Pike Monkey Razzle Dazzle) around it.
Reverse-tie bucktail in split colors (olive over the top, light pink underneath) then fold it back and cinch it down to flare it; add a few strands of polar reflector flash.
Tie in two pink grizzly saddle hackles along the sides, whip finish, and coat the wraps with glue for durability.
Connect the completed rear-hook section to a 40mm big-game shank (with the 8mm clear bead) and mount the shank in the vise.
On the shank, build the front body by stacking reverse-tied bucktail in half-bundles (olive top, light pink bottom) with reflector flash between each stack, leaving a small gap between bundles and gluing each step.
Continue stacking bucktail bundles forward to the front of the shank, keeping the head sparse rather than bulky.
Whip finish, attach 14mm ice eyes to the head, and set the whole head with UV resin.
