  • Hook Wide-gap / bass stinger hook, 2-2/0
  • Thread White 70 denier

Materials

  • Bucktail White + contrasting top (2 clumps for tail)
  • Flashabou Holographic silver / pearl flashabou (long, full pinch)
  • Estaz / Ice chenille Pearl cactus chenille (body and head)
  • Synthetic fiber (EP) Contrasting indicator fibers (1 collar)
  • 3-D adhesive eyes - (1 pair)
  • UV resin / epoxy - (for head)

How to tie it

  1. Start the thread and tie in a white bucktail belly clump and a contrasting top clump at the mid-shank, then a long, full pinch of Flashabou for the signature wild flash tail.
  2. Wrap an Estaz body forward over the rear half to build a flashy, undulating profile.
  3. Tie in a short collar of contrasting synthetic fiber to break up the head.
  4. Wrap a second Estaz section in front to form the head base and tie off.
  5. Whip finish, glue a 3-D eye to each side, then coat the head with UV resin or epoxy and cure.
