How to tie it
Lay a thread base over the middle of the shank.
Tie in a short green chenille stub angled off the top rear of the hook as the berry's stem, it's also a subtle hotspot for you to track the fly.
Tie in purple chenille and wrap it in tight, stacked touching turns, building a round berry-sized ball that fills the shank; alternatively spin and trim purple deer hair for a floating version.
Whip finish at the eye, hiding the wraps under the chenille, and cement.
For a slow sink (the natural behavior of a waterlogged berry), leave it unweighted.
