InTheRiffle dressing

  • Hook Tiemco 5212, 6-12
  • Thread Tan UNI or UNI 8/0 6/0

Materials

  • Body 2 - Tan 2MM Foam and 1 - Yellow 2MM Foam
  • Legs Tan or Yellow Medium or Small Grizzly Barred Rubber Legs
  • Glue Brush On Zap A Gap

How to tie it

  1. Seat the tungsten bead behind the eye and start thread behind it.
  2. Tie in a short pheasant-tail tail at the bend, splayed slightly, about a shank long.
  3. Wrap a slim abdomen of copper wire forward to the 55% mark for a fast-sinking, countershaded body, and tie it off.
  4. Tie in a dark wingcase strip and a small bunch of pheasant-tail fibers for legs at the thorax junction.
  5. Build a peacock or dark dubbed thorax to the bead, then pull the wingcase forward over the top and bind it behind the bead so the legs sweep out beneath.
  6. Whip finish behind the bead and add a drop of head cement.
