Classic Recipe

• Hook Wide-gap dry/bass hook, 2-6
• Thread Tan or black 140D

Materials

• Tail Rabbit strip or leather lace (1, long)
• Body Spun deer hair, clipped flat on bottom (scruffy top)
• Back Black 2mm foam strip over top (segmented)

How to tie it

1. Rabbit tail off the bend
2. Foam strip tied at rear, spin deer hair up the shank
3. Pull foam over the top, segment it forward
4. Clip belly flat, leave the back scruffy

Substitutions

• Body instead of Spun deer hair: Deer belly hair — Packs dense for a solid body; Foam sheet + deer hair — Faster, unsinkable
• Tail instead of Leather / foam strip: Thin foam strip — Durable, floats; Rabbit strip — More movement
