McFlylon indicator Hot pink over black (small tuft)
How to tie it
Start thread mid-shank and bind the rear of a gold foam strip at the bend, then advance the thread forward in evenly spaced turns, binding the foam down at three points to make segmented body sections up to the 70% mark.
At the rear segment, figure-8 a pair of golden-yellow spanflex legs on each side so they kick out and back.
Lay a section of synthetic stonefly wing flat over the back, extending just past the bend, and bind it at the 70% mark.
Add a second pair of legs at the 70% mark, splayed to the sides.
Fold the front foam forward to form a blunt head and bind it at the 85% mark.
Tie in a black-then-hot-pink McFlylon indicator on top of the head as a sighter and trim short.
Whip finish beneath the foam head and add a drop of cement.
