Slide a brass bead to the eye and start the thread behind it.
Snip a single mop finger from the towel and tie it in on top of the shank at the bend so it extends about one shank length past the bend as the body/tail.
Wrap the thread forward over the tie-in butt to build a smooth base up to the bead.
Dub a short, buggy collar of hare's ear or tan dubbing right behind the bead.
Whip finish behind the bead, snip, and add a drop of cement.
