Dumbbell eyes (tungsten for deep, brass for high) - (1 pair)
Bucktail or craft fur (wing/belly) Tan and white bucktail or craft fur (2 small clumps)
Flash Pearl/copper flash (few strands)
Dubbing (optional collar) Tan dubbing (pinch)
How to tie it
Turn the fly point-up and tie a sparse clump of tan bucktail or craft fur on top of the shank behind the eyes as the wing, about one-and-a-half shank lengths long.
Add a few strands of pearl or copper flash along the wing.
Flip and tie a shorter clump of white bucktail on the underside as the belly, so the fly rides with the wing riding up.
Optional: dub a small tan collar in front of the eyes to bulk the head.
Whip finish at the eye, snip, and cement the head and eye wraps.
