Slide the Semperfli Tungsten 3,8mm bead Purple onto the Ahrex FW554 mini jig hook and set it in the vise, then start the Semperfli Nano Silk black 50D behind the bead.
Tie in the Semperfli Globrite Floss 2/0 Scarlet at the rear as the tail. The tail colour, the bead colour and the thread colour can all be changed and the fly is still a Moonshine.
Before the body goes on, attach the Semperfli 0,2mm copper wire for the rib, leaving a couple of inches to work with.
Tie the reflective craft-store thread down securely to the hook shank at the rear.
Wrap the reflective thread forward to build as much of a tapered body as the material allows, working it back over itself where it needs bulk, then snip off the rest.
Counter-wrap the copper wire forward in the opposite direction to the body wraps so it locks everything together, then secure and break it off.
Tie in the Semperfli Synthetic Peacock 1mm green behind the bead and take two to two and a half wraps, packing them decently to make the throat collar.
