Reference Recipe

  • Hook streamer shank plus trailing hook, 2-6
  • Thread brown 6/0 or GSP

Materials

  • Articulation wire or heavy mono Clear articulation wire or heavy mono (1 loop)
  • Rabbit strip (zonker) Natural/barred tan cross cut rabbit (2 strips)
  • Cross-cut rabbit Natural/barred tan cross cut rabbit (1 strip)
  • Flash Copper flashabou (6-8 strands)

How to tie it

  1. On the rear hook tie in a barred tan rabbit-strip tail two shank lengths long with copper flash, then palmer a short cross-cut collar and whip off.
  2. Join the rear hook to the front shank with a doubled loop of heavy mono or wire, keeping a short hinge gap.
  3. Lock the loop to the front shank and add a second barred rabbit strip over the top back to the rear collar.
  4. Palmer cross-cut rabbit forward to a full, unweighted body, stroking the fur back each wrap.
  5. Form a neat head, whip finish, and cement.
