  • Hook jig hook, 60-degree, barbless, 12-14
  • Thread olive 8/0

Materials

  • Slotted tungsten bead Gold bead (1 (2.5-3.0mm))
  • Marabou Olive marabou (1 plume)
  • Krystal Flash Olive crinkle flash fine (2-4 strands)
  • Ice Dub Olive-brown fine dubbing (pinch)

How to tie it

  1. Slide the gold bead to the eye of the jig hook and start the thread behind it.
  2. Tie in a slim olive marabou tail one shank length and flank it with a few strands of olive Krystal Flash.
  3. Twist a slip of olive marabou into a rope and wrap it forward to the bead, stroking fibers back each turn for a soft, breathing body.
  4. Dub a short olive-brown Ice Dub collar behind the bead.
  5. Whip finish behind the bead and add a drop of cement.
