Classic Recipe

  • Hook Wide-gape barbless nymph/grub hook (Hanak 900BL or Fulling Mill grub), #10-12
  • Thread Fluorescent orange 70 denier UTC

Materials

  • Foam tail/arse Small booby-foam cylinder (about 5-6mm) at the rear (1)
  • Body FNF Jelly Fritz 10mm, Sunburst (fluorescent orange/yellow, code JF7) (1 length)

How to tie it

  1. Tie in the small booby-foam cylinder at the REAR of the hook over the bend for buoyancy.
  2. Tie in the sunburst Jelly Fritz just ahead of the foam.
  3. Wrap the fritz forward in touching turns, stroking fibers back, to behind the eye; tie off.
  4. Build a small head, whip finish, and pick out the fritz into a round glowing blob.
