Classic Recipe

  • Hook Wide-gape barbless nymph/grub hook (Hanak 900BL or Fulling Mill grub), #10-12
  • Thread Fluorescent orange 70 denier UTC

Materials

  • Foam tail/arse Small booby-foam cylinder (about 5-6mm) at the rear (1)
  • Butt/tag FNF Jelly Fritz 10mm, fluorescent yellow (2-3 turns)
  • Body FNF Jelly Fritz 10mm, fluorescent pink/orange (tequila-sunrise cocktail mix) (1 length)

How to tie it

  1. Tie in the small booby-foam cylinder at the REAR of the hook over the bend for buoyancy.
  2. Tie in fluorescent yellow Jelly Fritz just ahead of the foam and take 2-3 turns as a bright butt/tag.
  3. Tie in the fl. pink/orange Jelly Fritz and wrap it forward in touching turns to behind the eye; tie off.
  4. Build a small head, whip finish, and pick out the fritz into a round two-tone blob.
