Pearl flash/tinsel (rib) Pearl flashabou (1 strand)
Hen hackle (collar) Brown hen hackle (1 feather)
Goose biots (wings) White goose biots (2)
How to tie it
Slide a gold bead to the eye and add 8-10 wraps of lead-free wire behind it, shoving them up into the bead.
Start the thread and tie in two brown goose biots at the bend, splayed into a short V-tail one gap long.
Tie in a strand of pearl flash and 3-4 peacock herls; wrap the herl forward as a plump body to just behind the bead and bind off.
Counter-wrap the pearl flash forward in 4-5 open turns for a flashy segmented rib, then bind and snip, this pearl rib is the 'Millennium' upgrade over the plain Prince.
Tie in a brown hen hackle by the tip and take 2 turns for a soft collar; sweep the fibers back and bind them down.
Tie two white goose biots flat on top in a V, curving out over the body and reaching about the hook point.
Build a small thread head against the bead, whip finish and cement.
