How to tie it
Slide the 3.3mm metallic red tungsten bead onto the jig hook, seat it at the eye, and start red thread behind it.
Wind back to a point above the barb in a thin, smooth layer. Anything lumpy shows straight through the translucent worm material.
Lay a strand of Micro Wormy Body along the top of the shank and bind it at the rear, leaving a tag of about half a shank hanging past the bend as the worm's tail.
Bind the material forward with open thread turns to just behind the bead, letting it stretch very slightly so it stays thin. Thin is the point: this material lets you tie a credible worm down to a size 20, which squirmy chenille cannot.
Trim the front tag short behind the bead, whip finish, and keep the head tiny.
The body is soft, elastic, translucent and UV-resistant so it will not go chalky, which is why the tyer leaves it on as a permanent point fly rather than swapping it in and out.
