Lay a clean black thread base along the full length of a Daiichi 2220 hook and trim.
Tie in flat mylar tinsel about 70-75% up the shank with the gold side facing you (so silver shows when wrapped), and wind the thread back over it.
Tie in small oval tinsel for the rib at the same point, then advance the thread forward.
Wrap the flat tinsel forward in clean side-by-side turns to just behind the eye, keeping the underbody smooth; tie off and trim.
Counter-rib with the oval tinsel in an even open spiral (about 45 degrees) to the front; tie off and trim, then throw a half hitch to hold tension.
Wing: stack an even bunch (~15-20 fibers) of yellow bucktail for the bottom, measure it about 20% past the bend and tie it on top; add a bunch of red bucktail over that, then a final bunch of yellow on top (yellow-red-yellow).
