Deer body hair Green (back) and white (belly) (several clumps)

How to tie it
Tie in two knotted bucktail kicker legs at the bend, each a bundle of white-under, green-over bucktail with an overhand knot for the knee, splayed out like a frog's swimming back legs.
Spin a clump of white belly deer hair at the rear, then spin green (back) over white (belly) deer hair up the shank, packing each bundle hard against the last.
Continue spinning and packing to fill the shank to the eye, keeping the belly light and the back dark.
Whip finish and remove from the vise. Trim the spun hair to a flat-bottomed, broad frog body. Wide across the back, flat underneath, tapered to a blunt nose.
Trim two shorter front legs from the sides if desired and clean up the profile.
Coat the trimmed head and belly seam with flexible cement or lacquer to shed water and add durability.
