Slide the Fish-Skull Sculpin Head or cone onto the hook before mounting.
Start thread behind the head. Tie in a rabbit strip tail at the bend, about one and a half shank lengths. The rabbit strip's undulating movement is the primary action.
Add sparse flash alongside the tail, 4-5 strands.
Build a full body with dubbing brush or chenille forward to the head.
Tie off behind the sculpin head. Whip finish.
Secure the head with a drop of super glue or UV resin where it meets the thread.
