How to tie it
Start the thread and dress the shank back toward the thorax area; trap 6-8 gray antron fibers on top for a sparse tail and bind them down, then trim the shuck short.
Lay the gold wire along the shank with touching thread turns up to the thorax, then wrap the wire forward in open ribs to the thorax, bend it back on itself and helicopter it off.
Cut a strip of 0.5mm opaque gray razor foam about a hook-gap wide and tie it in at the thorax to fold forward later as a wing case.
Hit the shank with a drop of head cement, wrap one strand of peacock herl forward for the thorax leaving a little space behind the eye, then cord the thread and snap the herl off.
Tie a small bunch (5-6 fibers) of hen hackle along each side of the thorax as legs, locking them with a turn or two underneath, and trim the butts.
Spread the legs, pull the foam wing case forward over the thorax with minimal wraps, whip finish, and trim the foam close over the eye; add head cement.
