Materials
Tail Raven and Wolf Shuck Fiber
Body Thread
Rib Thread, colored a contrasting color like dark olive or black
Body UV craft resin
Wing/Legs/Hackle Raven and Wolf Shuck Fiber or Raven and Wolf Baitfish Fibers be afraid to blend colors to get either the color you want or a mottled look
Thorax Dubbing…we like Chubb Dubb Peacock but superfine would also work
How to tie it
Secure a size 20 hook and dress the shank with thread.
Tie in six to eight fibers of gray Antron for a sparse tail/shuck at the bend; trim.
Tie in gold wire, bind it along the shank with touching turns to the thorax area, then wrap it forward to form a wire body; helicopter off.
Cut a thin strip of 0.5mm gray razor foam about a hook-gap wide and tie it in at the thorax to be pulled over later.
Tie in one peacock herl, add a touch of super glue, and wrap it to form the thorax, leaving a little space behind the eye; secure and break off.
Tie in five or six hen hackle fibers along each side of the thorax for legs and adjust to length.
Pull the foam shellback over the top of the thorax and secure it behind the eye with a couple of wraps.
Whip finish with three turns, trim the foam just over the eye, and add head cement.
