Ribbing A14 brown material (perdigon body thread, waxed)
How to tie it
Slide a tungsten bead onto the hook and start the thread behind it.
Tie in Coq de Leon Pardo Claro barbs as the tail.
Wrap the body with the flat perdigon thread in colour A8, building a smooth, slim, tapered abdomen.
Wax the brown A14 ribbing thread before wrapping. The wax gives it grip so the rib stays exactly where you put it instead of sliding on the slick body.
Twist the brown ribbing thread as tightly as you can, then wrap it forward in open turns. Twisting keeps it round and consistent rather than letting it flatten out, so the rib stands proud and holds an even thickness.
Whip finish behind the bead and coat the body with UV resin in the usual perdigon way.
