Slide a gold cone head onto the hook, then wrap 18-20 turns of.02 lead wire behind it for weight.
Start black thread, coat the lead wraps to lock them, and build a small ramp between the lead and the bare shank.
Tie in a black marabou plume above the barb, then wrap forward up to the lead and trim the butts; break the tail to about a shank-length with your fingernails.
Tie in a 6-inch length of black Estaz by its exposed thread core at the tail base and advance the thread to the two-thirds point.
Tie in one pair of rubber legs on top with figure-eight wraps, hold them back in a materials clip, and advance the thread leaving space behind the cone.
Tie in a second pair of rubber legs the same way near the front.
Pull all legs clear and wind the Estaz forward, pulling each set of legs back out of the way as you reach them so they aren't trapped, filling the shank to behind the cone; tie off and trim.
Whip finish behind the cone without trapping fibres, then lift all four legs vertical and trim them to about the length of the fly.
