Tyer Recipe

  • Hook Curved scud/shrimp hook, #12-16
  • Thread Tan or olive 8/0

Materials

  • Body UV pink/olive material (UV dubbing)
  • Shell back Clear scud back thin skin (Scud back or stretch flash)
  • Rib Gold middle (Fine wire)

How to tie it

  1. Start thread and wrap to above the barb around the bend.
  2. Tie in a clear shell-back strip and the wire rib at the bend.
  3. Dub a plump UV body along the curved shank.
  4. Pull the shell back over the top and secure at the eye.
  5. Counter-rib with fine wire to segment and lock the shell back, then tie off.
  6. Whip finish behind the eye.
