Slide the 7/64" Gold Tungsten bead onto the 2xL curved nymph hook and push it to the eye. Start the olive 8/0 thread, lay a base layer and trim the tag.
Take the thread about halfway down the shank. Pull about ten fibers of Moss Green Marabou, keep the tail small, about one shank length, and tie it in. Take a turn around the back of the tail, then wrap forward over the butts; snip the excess and cover what is left, the body will hide it.
Fold one strand of Olive Crystal Flash over the thread so it becomes two, and tie it in evenly so two strands lie along each side of the tail. Trim to tail length.
Tie in the Small Green Holographic Tinsel just behind the bead and bind it back along the shank to the tail.
Bring the thread back up toward the bead, tie in the Fine Copper Wire near the bead and bind it back down the body as well.
Move the thread back to the bead. Wrap the holographic tinsel forward in even turns to form the body, up to the bead; tie off behind the bead and trim.
Put one dab of UV coating or head cement on the tinsel body and spread it around with a bodkin; this makes the body more durable and helps the hackle last.
Tie in the Small Olive Saddle (a size-18 saddle) just behind the bead. Take a couple of turns at the head, then palmer it rearward in four to five turns to the tail.
At the tail, pull the copper wire over the hackle to trap it, then wind the wire forward as the rib to behind the bead. Tie off at the bead and twist the wire around to break it off. Snip the hackle tip.
Keep the front hackle slightly swept back: whip finish a couple of times right behind the bead so the front fibers flare rearward, add a few more wraps, and cut the thread. Head cement is optional.
