REAR HOOK: mount a medium stinger hook and take the thread to the bend. Tie in a white marabou feather (stroked back, about one shank length), trim the waste at an angle, and take a wrap or two under the tail to raise it.
Tie in three strands of pearl krystal flash on top, sticking out slightly past the marabou; pull the forward strands back, bind them and clip even.
Tie in an olive marabou feather over the tail at the same length as the white.
Taper the end of an olive rabbit zonker strip, measure so the hair reaches the feather tips, part the hide and tie it down with three to four tight wraps, then a few wraps in front of the hide.
Tie in a self-made olive dubbing brush, clip the excess wire, and palmer it forward in open spirals to just behind the eye, stroking fibers rearward each turn; tie off and brush out.
Split the fibers on top and stroke them down, pull a second olive zonker strip over the hook as a wing and tie it down behind the eye; trim the waste, whip finish and coat the head with UV resin. Trim the tail brush to shape.
FRONT HOOK: mount a large stinger hook and make five to six wraps of.025" lead wire mid-shank to keel it; cover the wire with thread into a smooth olive bump and add super glue.
Tie in a length of coated intruder wire on top, fold it over and bind it for security, run it to the bend and add super glue.
Slide a bead onto the wire, thread the finished rear section (hook point down) onto the wire, pass the wire back through the bead and pull a small vertical loop, then bind it down very tight; fold the tag back, bind, trim excess wire and super glue the tie-in.
Clip the rear hook point up out of the way, measure an olive zonker strip so the hide reaches the last hook and tie it in tightly, then continue building the front body with a dubbing brush and an olive zonker wing mirroring the rear section; finish the head, whip finish and coat with UV resin.
