How to tie it
Slide the gold bead to the eye, then run 8-10 wraps of lead-free wire and jam them up behind the bead to lock it and add heft. This is the magnum version, so build weight.
At the bend, tie in two brown goose biots splayed in a shallow V, each about one gap long.
Tie in the gold tinsel rib and 3-4 peacock herls. Twist the herls into a rope and wrap a plump body forward to the bead.
Counter-wrap the tinsel rib forward in 4-5 open turns so it locks the fragile herl, then tie off.
Wind or bind a brown hen hackle for a soft throat and sweep the fibers down and back under the shank.
Set two white goose biots flat over the back in a V, tips reaching the point, and bind them down snug behind the bead.
Build a small thread collar, whip finish behind the bead, and add a drop of head cement.
