Reference Recipe

  • Hook Jig streamer hook (Fulling Mill Jig Force Long), 8
  • Thread To match 100 denier Nano silk

Materials

  • Bead Metallic light pink bead (5.5 mm)
  • Marabou (tail) Fluorescent white marabou (1 feather)
  • Streamer Straggle jumbo (body) Silver light pink streamer straggle jumbo (1 length)
  • Marabou (collar) White marabou (1 feather)
  • Loco legs Bonefish pink (1 per side)
  • Silly legs Pearl silver rubber legs (2 per side)
  • Rabbit strip (zonker) Dark olive rabbit strip (1 strip)
  • Bruiser Blend Dark olive (top) and white (bottom) (2 clumps)

How to tie it

  1. Slide the metallic light-pink bead onto a size 8 jig hook and start the Nano silk thread.
  2. Tie in a white marabou tail about a shank length back and add wraps underneath to prop it up.
  3. Tie in the Streamer Straggle (jumbo, silver light pink) by the tip and wrap it forward with the rotary, tie off, and comb out the fibers.
  4. Tie in a second white marabou feather by the tip and wrap four or five turns as a collar; comb the fibers back.
  5. Tie in rubber legs (one pink Loco leg and two pearl silver silly legs per side) on the underside about halfway, then fold them back and secure.
  6. Tie in a dark-olive rabbit strip on top: trim a V in the tail end, measure to the marabou, pierce the strip, pull it forward and tie it down; trim the excess.
  7. Tie in a dark-olive Bruiser Blend clump on top and a white clump on the bottom (fibers stacked, tied mid-clump then folded forward), then whip finish.
  8. Brush the fibers back and shape.
