Lash the dumbbell eyes to the top of the shank a quarter back from the eye with tight figure-eights, eyes on top flip the fly hook-point-up, so it can crawl through rock and timber.
Slide the punched zonker strip up over the hook point, flip the fur rearward, and tie the strip down at the bend so a tail of one and a half shank lengths trails behind.
Palmer the remaining zonker strip forward in touching wraps to just behind the dumbbell eyes and tie off.
Tie two silicone legs along each side, extending to about the middle of the tail.
Build the head with clumps of Laser Dub figure-eighted around and over the dumbbell eyes, top and bottom.
Whip finish in front, then brush the head back and trim it to a compact bullet shape blending into the body.
