How to tie it
Secure the hook, start the light olive thread behind the eye, and trim the tag.
Tie in four olive tailing fibers one body-length long, wrap back to the bend, then bring the thread under and between the fibers to split and splay them; return the thread forward and trim the butts.
Tie in an olive goose biot by the tip at the bend with the translucent edge facing up, and add a touch of UV resin along the shank.
Wrap the biot forward in slightly overlapping turns to build a slim, smooth abdomen ending about two-thirds up the shank; tie off, trim, and cure the resin with a UV light.
Dub a small amount of olive UV frog's hair onto the thread and build a boxy thorax.
Pair two dark dun CDC feathers curve-to-curve with tips even, tie them in as a flat wing about one body-length long extending just past the abdomen, using a pinch-and-loop to keep it flat; trim the butts.
Clean up the thread base at the wing and tie in a grizzly dry-fly hackle.
Take two or three wraps of hackle, keeping fibers reaching just past the hook, then tie off behind the eye and trim.
