Tie in the flat silver tinsel rib at the bend, then the four strands of red floss together.
Wrap the floss forward as a smooth, slightly tapered body, stopping two eye-widths behind the eye, then spiral the tinsel rib forward in 5 evenly spaced turns.
Cut a pencil-thick clump of woodchuck hair, keeping the underfur in. The mottled guard hair and soft underfur breathe like a sculpin. Tie it in as a wing extending one shank length past the bend.
Tie in a grizzly hen hackle by the tip and take 2-3 turns as a collar, sweeping the fibers back.
Build a neat black head, whip finish, cement, and add painted eyes.
