- Hook 1XL-2XL nymph hook, 12-16
- Thread Brown 8/0
Materials
- Tail biots Brown goose biots (2, split)
- Abdomen dubbing Brown dubbing (thin)
- Wingcase Brown turkey/thin skin (1 slip)
- Thorax dubbing Brown, slightly darker (pinch)
- Rib Copper wire (1 strand)
How to tie it
- Tie in two brown biots as a split tail at the bend, then tie in the copper wire.
- Dub a slim brown abdomen forward over the rear two-thirds and rib it with the copper wire.
- Tie in the wingcase material, then dub a slightly fuller thorax.
- Pull the wingcase forward over the thorax and tie down, picking out a few fibers for legs.
- Build a head and whip finish.
