Materials
Tungsten beads Olive tungsten beads (2 x 1.5mm)
Coq de Leon / hen saddle Brown saddle hackle (for tail and legs)
Body Quill Dark olive body quill (1 (body/thorax))
UV resin Clear uv resin (thin coat)
Marker Black ostrich herl (wingcase)
How to tie it
Slide two olive tungsten beads onto the hook and start the Body Quill behind them with a jam knot.
Wrap a smooth base to the bend and tie in a short brown hen/coq de Leon tail about half a shank long.
Build a slightly tapered body of Body Quill forward from the tail base to the rear bead.
Jump the quill over the rear bead and take a few wraps between the two beads to separate and bulk them.
Tie in a small bunch of brown hen fibers on each side between the beads as legs, reaching to about the hook point.
Lock the legs with a single wrap each side, whip finish, and trim.
Coat the top of the body with a thin layer of UV resin and cure, draw a black wingcase from the front bead back, then add a small bulbous resin bump over it and cure.
