How to tie it
Run the ash-grey silk from behind the eye to above the barb, then forward two-thirds.
Twist a wisp of reddish-grey fur onto the silk and wind a slim body over the rear two-thirds of the shank.
Prepare a slim slip of thrush (or landrail) wing quill and tie it in low over the body, extending just past the bend to suggest the caddis's long antennae ('silverhorns').
Secure the wing, build a small ash head, whip finish and varnish.
