How to tie it
Slide the copper bead onto the curved-shank hook, start the thread directly behind the bead, build a thread base back along the shank and snip the tag.
Expose the core of the chartreuse fine chenille and tie in about two inches, making a short handle; take only a couple of wraps, then wind three wraps forward and tie off to form a small chartreuse hot spot.
Tie in about three inches of large shrimp-pink cactus chenille. Wind it forward five to six wraps to build a full, even egg, slicking the fibers back with your non-dominant hand on each wrap; trap it down and snip the tag.
Take about three strands of clear/white Antron emerger yarn and lay it all the way around the entire hook shank; make one soft wrap then pull hard so the yarn veils around the egg. Trim and add a couple more wraps to control the fibers.
Pull the Antron veil back over the egg and cut it off at about the bend of the hook, then whip finish behind the bead to complete the fly.
