How to tie it

- Tie in golden-olive Dirty Bug Yarn and wrap a thick, tapering abdomen forward over the back half of the shank all the way down to the tails.
- Stack the khaki CDC feathers together and tie in a low underwing reaching just past the bend; nine or so feathers give a size 4 the buoyancy to float.
- Lay a narrow clump of natural cow elk hair over the CDC as the overwing, tips to the tail, and trim the butts.
- Figure-8 three pairs of ginger spandex legs across the thorax, angling forward and back.
- Add an optional UV orange Trigger Point sighter, then dub a beefy thorax from brown-olive CDC spun in a loop with a little ginger Hare-Tron.
- Sweep two ginger spandex antennae forward over the eye, form a small head, whip finish, and cement.
